NAME: ME-BOT

DISCUSSION:

For my intervention, I propose a simple robot-invention which I will call “ME-BOT”. This will be composed of discipline which includes: mechanics, electronics, programming, artificial intelligence and mathematics.

This invention aims to do the following: 1. make a coffee, 2. clean my room, 3. reminds me of my unfinished work, and helps me in programming by solving some of the complex logic and algorithm that I can possibly encounter, it has the ability to scan my code and checks for the error which for human is very hard to see especially when your code is around thousands of lines. As you noticed the name of my Robot is “ME-BOT”. It is because this robot can only recognized me and me alone he can only follow the instruction through my voice he recognized no one but only me. This robot is also designed for helping me personally through some of my personal works as stated above, and every instruction that I input to “ME-BOT” has a corresponding codes that I need to say in order for him to recognized what I want him to do for me let’s say for example in order for him to make me a coffee I need to say the code let’s say for example (MKCF).  The only program which “ME-BOT” is routinely done for me is reminding me of my unfinished work 2 times a day (Morning 7:00 am and Evening: 7:00 pm) because every night at 8:00 pm I input to ME-BOT my unfinished work so that in the next day he reminds me.

The limitation of Me-Bot is that he can only do what I programmed him to do. If some of my families and friends are trying to say the code like (MKCF) to make coffee Me-Bot did not follow their instruction because he can only recognized my voice alone.

The science and technology have the possibility in terms of discovering with deep understanding of Artificial Intelligence. With the help of research and experimenting this invention can be possible in the future. Anyone of us can be an inventor wherein our imagination and curiosity are the foundation as great minds for greater things that aims to be the greatest.

Globalization arises. Modern invention and technology are continuously reaching its peak of development wherein no one can see its fullness yet. Out of imagination and curiosity, new things around us is the proof of man’s intelligence of being discovered from the given resources, the nature. They can imagine what life would be like without certain technology, as well as what new technology the future might hold. As we observe from time to time, the inventions become convenient, smaller and better such as cellphones, televisions, medicines, and others as it was called – Nano science and technology. We use this to try to change the world to suit us better.

Probably we had heard many times the quotation, “Eat a breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince, and dinner like a pauper.”- Adelle Davis. Breakfast is the most important meal in a day especially to the students. According to WebMD (2018), breakfast kick-starts their metabolism, helping them burn calories throughout the day. Many studies have linked eating breakfast to good health, including better memory, better test score and concentration. It also gives them the energy they need to get things done and helps them focus at school. Those are just a few reasons why it’s the most important meal of the day.

But this much is clear, skipping the morning meal can throw off their body’s rhythm of fasting and eating. When they wake up, the blood sugar their body needs to make their muscles work their best is usually low and also their brains use up about half of the body’s energy, Breakfast helps replenish it. Breakfast also gives them a chance to get in some vitamins and nutrients from healthy foods. If they don’t eat it, they aren’t likely to get all of the nutrients their body needs.

Nowadays, one of the problem is that students can’t have their breakfast maybe because they’re rushing to get out the door; or the previous day was a tiring day for them having many school works so that their sleep were too long getting late in the morning and there’s no time to eat; or parents are too busy and can’t prepare a heavy meal for their children.

For the intervention of this problem, I highly propose a nano-invention which I will call “Magic Beans”. This will be contained with nutrients needed such as: healthy portion of protein, fiber-rich carbohydrate, healthy fats, beta glucan, potassium, magnesium, caffeine as for antioxidant, calcium, vitamin A and B in one capsule. This invention aims as an alternative solution to those problems that will help and fill the gap of the students’ need on starting the day in terms of nutrients; they will not get hungry in the morning after taking this capsule and they will attain mind and body strength; and, have a healthy living.

Magic Beans has a higher percentage of probability which can be produce if we will take a look to each existing medicines that prevent particular severe health problems. This capsule was designed and preferred for students ages from 13 up to 20 years old and can be 21 up to 30 years old: 250 mg for teens while 500 mg for teen. The capsule will be effective 1 hour after taking it and it will last for 5 hours in the morning

The science and technology have the possibility in terms of discovering new products. With the help of research and experimenting this invention can be concretize and prove its effectiveness. Anyone of us can be an inventor wherein our imagination and curiosity are the foundation as great minds for greater things that aims to be the greatest.

From the title itself “The Circle of Life”, what comes into my mind is about different situations we can ever experience. Circle symbolizes as ups and downs of life like a rolling wheel. On the first stanza on the last line, it says that “keeps great and small on the endless round.” For me as I reflect on the line, it shows that through success and failure will come to our lives. Whatever comes to our path even it is rocky we just go for it. We must always look on the positive side because on every garbage we can find treasure in it. It is all about our good perspective in life. Without having trials and suffering in life we cannot really express the true meaning of joy and success. It also says that “There is always a rainbow after the rain”

We must look beyond every situation not by sight but with our heart as it was said on the 1st stanza 3rd line, “there is more to see than can ever be seen”, that there is a beauty in everything

This quotation is in line with my life I am enjoying right now, this also connotes to the meaning of the song entitled , “ Karaniwang Tao”, by Joey Ayala.

Furthermore, each lyrics of the song brings me back the old days- the happiest days of my life when I was a child longing for success and up to this moment, I am still aiming for it.

I am just a simple boy, from a very simple family. I lived with my grandmother before but sadly she passed away last year. This miserable experience made me hate life.

Going back, the song made me realize that even in darkest time we could be able to save our self. We can think of the solution in all the problems that we may encounter along the way.

Nowadays, as I’ve been experiencing pain in my life, there is also this “one” who encounters a very traumatic and painful experiences from people like me. From people who just think of their own welfare and safety without thinking about others- this one is our mother Earth.

In the lyrics of the song specifically, “Karaniwang tao, saan ka tatakbo ,kapag nawasak iisang mundo”,  this hit me very hard.  Where am I going? Where will I reside? Where will I continue the dreams I longed for years? The answer, made me shivers. Earth is irreplaceable. Even though scientists are looking for another planet the people can live in. Still, nothing is comparable to the planet we have now. And before the disturbing scenarios might happen, I know as an individual who has a dream. I know I can do something. Something that will save the Earth and something that will definitely save my dreams.

Planting trees and not littering the garbage are simple ways to help save the Earth. We can be an advocate.

            Now, I am speaking to you, as a youth who loves the planet, let us unite and save our home-our planet , our mother Earth.

This lines of song we can conclude that it talks about two persons with a different place in life, one may be in the Philippines and the other may be in foreign countries in which the day and night are not the same . I can say that some push factors to those overseas Filipino workers to go to the other countries is because of their families who live there they wanted to be with their loved ones that’s why they moved.

This lines of the song tells us that even though the two of them are separated they feel comfortable and peaceful that they just like together, why? Because today’s world is very high tech, technology becomes larger and larger like cellphones, and some websites like Facebook, and messenger and through all this staff, they can easily saw and talk to each other every day to feel that they are not far from one another. I can conclude one of the reasons why people easily migrate from other country is the thinking that even though they are not together there’s a lot of resources out there that will help them to have track with each other and to have a personal communication.

Just like what I said a while ago one of the reasons why people migrate from one place to another is because of their loved ones, they choose to go and stay with their loves that’s why they choose to move.

This song is dedicated to all Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs). It simply tells us that an overseas worker will eventually go back to his homeland after some time.

this line of song tells us that overseas workers came to a foreign country for a reason but one day they will back in their homeland, we can say that there are some factors why they left their families and go there  let’s say for example in the field of Push factors Pilipino workers are forced to work to the foreign country due to lack of job offers in the Philippines and in the field of pull factors they saw a better job opportunities for them in that particular country that’s why they choose to move there, but even it is Push factor or Pull factor why they move it is clear that one day whether they are alive or dead they will go back to their own country.

This lines of the song tells us that the overseas Pilipino Workers will one day miss their country and that will be the pull factor for them to go back to their own land.

This song states and revealed the facts and situations of our county, but have you ever ask yourself why so many people leave this country instead of working here and staying with their loved ones? Do you think they are happy about leaving our country with their families left behind? Do you think that money is more important to them than their families? NO! My friend, they left this country because there is no opportunity for them to survive here with all the corruption happening in our government and with large taxes that they implemented how can small salary workers survived in this kind of system how they can support their families with their needs? This song also state that many of our professionals are leaving our country so that the newly graduated professionals are left to serve and work for our nation and the benefits that we hope to get to our skilled professionals we will not get because they serve the other countries instead of ours

And even the unskilled Filipino are leaving the Philippines because there is no job opportunity for them in our country. Here in the Philippines, most companies that offer jobs have high requirements, how can the unskilled undergraduate get a job? While in abroad. They’re open to most ages as longs as you can do the job.

This song is about Filipino workers who prefer to work abroad to earn a high salary for their living and for their family, they sacrificially leave their loved ones in order to give them a better future. The workers are not happy leaving their families they even scared of the thing that someday they did not recognize by their own child because most of the time they are not with them but they need to, coz’ love is not enough to raise a family they did not leave just for the money but they leave to support their daily living and to be free from poverty.

This song also indicates a lot of evidence of push factor that will affect the decision of the Filipino people to go to the foreign country, for example in terms of social: 1. lack of services available for the poor, 2. our environment is only for the rich who hired only educated and not the undergraduate unlike the other countries who hired even the uneducated workers as far as they can do the work.

 In terms of economics the lack of works offered by the government to its own people and lack of resources for his people to exercise their profession

In terms of politics, the majority of the politicians are corrupt (not all) they implement a big taxation policy to its people that will push them to go to abroad who implemented less payment in terms of taxation.

 Pull Factor: this also includes some of the pull factors that will affect the decision of the Pilipino people to go to the foreign country for example in terms of social: most people find that the services offered by the other countries are best than the services in the Philippine

In terms of Economics, they find more job opportunities to other countries rather than their own, in other countries, there are plenty of resources that they can use to practice their profession.

In conclusion, our government must have to do something to stop the skilled and unskilled Filipino to leave our country and encourage them to serve our nation rather than other foreign countries.

Good day, I am Glad to share to you my experience in our last meeting of our subject IT Elective IV in which my teacher gave us a task to do that is the Social experiment task that we conducted inside the school me and my classmate are choosing some of the students and staff of MV Gallego as our participants in the said experiment. We asked them several questions such as, What is their understanding of intuition and analytical thinking?. And all of them are answering with our questions intuitively or should I say they are all quick to answer after we get their understanding about intuition and analytical thinking me and my classmate discussed to them what is intuition and analytical thinking based on our class discussion then we asked them again the same questions and they almost got it and they all give the supporting details about their first answer to our question with full understanding. After that, we asked them again a logical question to test how analytical they are and out of 10 that we interviewed only one get the correct answers this prove that the majority of people thinks intuitively most of the time, after we get their answer to the logical questions that we gave to them we reveal to them the answer and explain why that is the right answer so in short every one of us enjoyed in the social experiment that we did because all of us are interacting with one another with interesting topic.

Good day, I am now Glad to share to you my knowledge and understanding about our current topic on IT Elective IV (special topics).

Our teacher’s continue his discussion about the intuitive and analytical thinking process we also reviewed our last topic on the subjects by asking me and my classmate about what is intuitive and what is analytical again by our teacher, then I and my classmate gives an answer to our instructor according to what we have learned to him, after that he asked us if what kind of reasoning process we used when we answered to his questions then we answered that our kind of answer is intuition because we answer directly to his question without analyzing carefully what was the question, we also said that it is intuition because we answer fast and quick . After that we move on to the thinking process, reasoning process and learning process.

Thinking process brings together information to link the various parts into something comprehensible. cognition refers to the thought process

Reasoning process implies taking facts and evidence perceived by the senses and combining it with thinking to draw conclusion

Learning Process described that human being is learn using a trial and error process along with incorporating experiences, abstract thought and deduction.

After our instructor explain to us the three process above and how they affect our ways of making decision daily he starts giving us a seat work that will test out reasoning skills and ability.

Good day! I am now glad to share my knowledge and understanding about our last topic in IT Elective 4 entitled the intuitive and analytical thinking.

At first our instructor discuss the differences of the two, he said that the intuitive is the fast thinker who immediately express his/her emotion without being calculated of what will be the result of his/her action , he also discuss that the human being by default is intuitive in terms of thinking  but it can control through the process of time and through the manifestation of being a professional in life then he gave us some examples so that we can easily understand in real life scenario the meaning of intuition.

Then we proceed to the discussion about analytical thinking, he state that analytical thinking is the one who respond in a situation by being calculated first of what will be the possible outcome of his/her action by asking the question to himself (what and what if) or (should and shouldn’t). He discuss that we need to be careful of controlling our emotion because emotion sometimes can lead us to devastation. It is clearly state that the human being must to be analytical in thinking so that they can lessen the risk of being controlled by their emotion.

Our instructor also give us a seat work that will test our analytical thinking skills so I and my classmate take time to answer the list of questioned given to by our teacher then after that we checked our papers and have a some discussion about the questions.
